NATO service member killed in Afghan bombing

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — The international military coalition in Afghanistan says one of its service members has died in a bomb attack in southern Afghanistan. The NATO military alliance did not provide details of the incident or the nationality of the dead force member.
It is the fourth international service member killed in Afghanistan so far this month. At least 50 international troops died in the Afghan conflict in August, most of them Americans.
NATO plans to turn security responsibilities over to local Afghan forces by the end of 2014.
