The chairman of the Libyan National Transitional Council to come to Cairo
Libyan interim leader Mustafa Abdel Jalil is expected to arrive in Cairo on Tuesday to meet with Egyptian officials, including military leader, Hussein Tantawi and Prime Minister Essam Sharaf.
Abdel Jalil, the chairman of the Libyan National Transitional Council, will arrive with a delegation of ten Libyan officials in his first visit to Egypt following the death of ousted Libyan president Muammar Gaddafi last month.
The assistant deputy to the foreign minister for Arab Maghreb Affairs, Ayman Mushrafa, called Abdel Jalil''s visit significant and revealed that the discussions will focus on Egypt’s support to the new Libyan regime and the assistance they can give them to rebuild after the revolution.
